The Residential Care Advocate is responsible for:
Responding to crisis, information and referral calls.
Providing client support, crisis intervention, and maintaining the needs of the shelter.
Ensuring the safety and confidentiality of our clients.
Daily cleaning of the offices and residential areas.
Accepting, sorting and storing donations in their proper area.
Yard work may be required, such as, mowing the lawn, raking leaves and shoveling snow.
Some lifting of heavier (up to 50 lbs.) items required along with frequent stair climbing.
Must have good organizational skills and be a self-starter. The Residential Care Advocate works during non-business hours (nights, weekends, and holidays). Interested applicants MUST be able to work these shifts.
Some college in a human services field preferred, but high school or GED acceptable, and/or interest in the dynamics of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault.
Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.
